Allison Hartzell

Allison Hartzell, Realtor

Originally from Lafayette, Allison has now called Houston home for 30 years, and been a resident of Woodland Heights for 28 of those. During the late 80s and early 90s, prior to being a stay at home mom to her 3 daughters and an activist/volunteer, she worked in REO departments as an asset manager for several major banks in Houston, managing multi-million dollar portfolios of residential and commercial properties.

For many years, Allison has been very active in the Heights, and specifically Woodland Heights. Her community involvement includes 2 years serving as President of the Woodland Heights Civic Association, multiple years working with Lights in the Heights and countless other community events, and serving on the original construction committee of Donovan Park. Being actively involved in the Heights community for so long has been a privilege, giving Allison an uncommon level of knowledge about the history of the community and many of its homes.

Education and schools are a major priority for the Hartzell family. As a result, Allison spent numerous years working as PTO president and/or PTO board member at many of her daughters schools including Travis Elementary, Hamilton Middle, Lamar HS, HSPVA and Carnegie Vanguard.

Having embraced Houston as home and gotten to know it so well through her activist/volunteer work, Allison is very enthusiastic about showing clients and newcomers to town the diversity and opportunities of this great city. Her goal with each client is to exceed their expectations for customer service by being knowledgeable of the market, understanding their lifestyles and wishes, utilizing great communication skills, and being professional, while going above and beyond. Not to be overlooked, she strives to do all of this with a smile.

Aside from her volunteer work in the Heights and at her daughters’ schools, Allison also volunteers with Small Steps Nurturing Center in their buddy program, Recipe for Success, and teaches Money Basics and Money Matters classes for The Women’s Resource Center.
