On Your BLVD

It's CIP time again! From better roads to repairs of City-owned properties, Capital Improvement Projects are a community affair. Spending just a few hours having your say this spring could have a direct impact on how your neighborhood receives vital local funding over the next five years.

These meetings bring city officials to each council district and allow the community to ask questions, provide input and learn about city resources to help. Information and experts will be available at tables before and after the community meetings to answer questions.

Catherine Zaras, Realtor, is on the Eureka Heights Brewery bike team for this year's Texas MS150. The Texas MS150 is the first  weekend of May and raises money for Multiple Sclerosis research. One way Catherine keeps up her bike riding is joining Eureka Heights for their monthly bike rides. These rides are open to anyone and great for any rider at any level. The monthly bike ride generally stops at 2 local restaurants or bars in the area and then returns to the brewery, it's a great opportunity for anyone looking to try out new bike-friendly places.  One of Catherine's favorite events of the year is the annual Lights in The Heights ride, where you get to slow down and take in the neighborhood decked out in Christmas lights.
